Panthers Head Coach Dave Canales Praises Saints QB: “I Didn’t Want Carolina to Lose, But We Just Couldn’t Stop Him”

Following the New Orleans Saints’ 17-7 win over the Carolina Panthers in Week 10 of the 2025 NFL season, all eyes turned to Tyler Shough, the rookie quarterback who put on a masterclass on the road — and earned heartfelt praise from Panthers head coach Dave Canales.

There was no debate about who the MVP was. Tyler Shough led the Saints’ offense to 412 total yards, compared to 285 from Carolina, and maintained control for all four quarters.
In just his rookie season, Shough has already given Saints fans what they’ve longed for — belief in the future.
