Turning Point for the Bills: Is Josh Allen Finally Getting His Explosive New Weapon in the 2026 NFL Draft?
Coming off the 2025 season, the Buffalo Bills find themselves at a crossroads. For the first time since 2020, they don’t have a true No. 1 wideout. Stefon Diggs once filled that role, but as the team started winning without relying on him — and with rising tension between the two sides — his future in Buffalo became clear.
While Joe Brady’s “everybody eats” system kept things balanced for a while, recent games have exposed a glaring issue: the Bills lack a game-breaking receiver who can stretch defenses and open up the field for Josh Allen.
Buffalo hasn’t been throwing deep as often, and neither draft picks nor free agents have solved the problem. That’s why experts believe Brandon Beane could target a top wideout early in the 2026 NFL Draft.
According to NFL Mocks analyst Tarringo Basile-Vaughan, that player could be Chris Brazzell II from Tennessee.
“The Bills get Josh Allen another wide receiver with the selection of Chris Brazzell II. The Tennessee star has 31 receptions for 531 yards and 7 touchdowns, with a 6-foot-5, 200-pound frame that adds speed and size to the offense.”
Brazzell is currently averaging 16.8 yards per catch, with three games over 100 yards — including a monster performance against Georgia with 6 receptions, 177 yards, and 3 touchdowns. Reliable, explosive, and built for the big stage, Brazzell could be the exact type of receiver who helps Allen unlock his full potential again.
If this mock draft becomes reality, the Bills might just be entering a new offensive era — faster, taller, and far more dangerous.
