The Dallas Cowboys may be planning a $250 million upgrade to turn the AT&T Stadium roof into a full 360° LED display, according to a source close to the team’s infrastructure partner. The rumored project would convert the iconic retractable dome into a massive LED surface capable of displaying visuals, stats, and lighting effects in real time.
A recently leaked 3D rendering circulating online appears to show a Las Vegas Sphere-style dome above the field, sparking speculation among fans and tech analysts alike. If approved, this would mark the first time in NFL history that a stadium roof becomes a live digital screen, transforming the in-stadium experience for over 80,000 fans.
When reached for comment, a Cowboys spokesperson clarified: “We’re constantly exploring innovations to enhance the fan experience at AT&T Stadium. However, no official plans regarding a dome upgrade have been approved at this time.” Still, internal sources claim that feasibility assessments have already entered phase two as of April.
