The Bills are targeting the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback, who is unhappy with his current role and wants to leave the team.

The Buffalo Bills’ defense has been a major disappointment this season, and injuries have only made things worse. Ahead of the Nov. 4 trade deadline, general manager Brandon Beane is expected to target help at cornerback, safety, linebacker, and defensive line — a tall order for any team.
The linebacker position, in particular, has been a concern with Matt Milano’s health issues and Terrell Bernard’s inconsistency. According to The Sporting News’ Vinnie Iyer, the Bills could pursue a trade for Cincinnati Bengals defender Logan Wilson, who is reportedly unhappy with his reduced role.
Wilson, a full-time starter since 2021, has seen his playing time cut to just 58 snaps over the last three games. When asked about it, he said, “I felt like I was [playing well enough to start], but obviously Zac [Taylor] felt otherwise.” His frustration has led to a trade request — and that might open the door for Buffalo.
“Wilson wants out of Cincinnati with all the new defensive dysfunction,” Iyer wrote. “He would be a valuable addition to the Buffalo defense given their struggles against the run and in coverage, plus the durability issues with starters Matt Milano and Terrell Bernard.”
If acquired, Wilson would bring veteran experience and stability to Buffalo’s defense, capable of holding his own against both the run and the pass. He’s under contract through 2027, offering a potential long-term solution for the Bills.
While not a perfect fix, adding Wilson would be far better than standing still and watching the defense continue to decline. For Buffalo, this could be the timely move that reignites their defensive identity.
