Steelers vs Panthers: Preseason Week 3 Game Day Guide at Bank of America Stadium

The Pittsburgh Steelers wrap up the 2025 exhibition slate with a primetime fixture on Thursday night this week.

A long camp and preseason will culminate with a fixture that may finally feature a bevy of Steelers starters.

Here’s how to watch and what to look for…

How to watch Steelers vs Panthers preseason Week 3:

  • Date: Aug. 21, 2025
  • Time: 7 p.m. ET
  • Location: Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, North Carolina
  • TV channel: NFL Network
  • Streaming services: NFL +

What to look for

In the first and last nationally televised game of the Steelers’ preseason, we may finally see some veterans hit the field. We will gain clarity on who is in and out on Tuesday from Mike Tomlin. In the meantime, here are three players who you should be watching against the Panthers…

WR Roman Wilson

Roman Wilson has steadily leveled up over the past couple of weeks. Ending camp on a high note with Aaron Rodgers turned into a nice outing in his preseason debut against the Jaguars. Then came Saturday night’s game, where he went for 72 yards on only two catches.

In Week 3 of the preseason, there is a chance Wilson plays his highest snap total yet. Seeing as he has steadily improved week over week, I want to see what his line and, more importantly, his film, would look like.

RB Kaleb Johnson

Kaleb Johnson flipped the script on his early struggles in his preseason game against the Buccaneers. The third-round rookie finally looked reminiscent of the back that the Steelers drafted out of Iowa.

Looking far more comfortable than he did in his debut, Johnson showed patience, vision, and fluidity, besting his 20 yards on eight carries from Week 1 with 50 yards on 11 carries, nearly doubling his average yards per carry.

And here’s the thing, he did that with the second, third, and at times, fourth team offensive line. If he can get some burn behind the first teamers, it will be interesting to see if he can build on Saturday’s performance.

Will Howard?

This one feels like a long shot, as Howard still had the brace on his broken hand during Saturday’s game, but Mike Tomlin wouldn’t rule him out of the preseason, and if Howard can grip a football by Wednesday, I think he will be pleading with the Steelers to let him play.

If he does, this finale will get much more exciting.

Cowboys WR Admits Heartbreaking Truth About “Meaningless” Breakout After Bitter Week 14 Loss to Lions
Ryan Flournoy just dropped 115 yards and a 42-yard touchdown in place of an injured CeeDee Lamb… and then told everyone it means absolutely NOTHING. The Dallas Cowboys rookie wide receiver, who has now posted back-to-back impressive games, was brutally honest after the crushing Week 14 defeat to the Detroit Lions: “Not sweet, it’s bitter,” Flournoy said. “I did all that to win. None of them stats really impressed me.” From a forgotten depth piece to sudden WR3 contender in just two weeks: 34 yards vs Chiefs on Thanksgiving 115 yards + 1 TD vs Lions in Week 14 Dak Prescott trusted him on multiple third-down conversions and hit him for the explosive score, yet Flournoy refuses to celebrate. “I just want to go out there, play with these guys, have fun, and WIN,” he added. “Losing makes everything pointless.” While fans and analysts are calling it his official “coming-out party,” Flournoy basically threw his own breakout performance in the trash because the scoreboard didn’t end in Dallas’ favor. This raw “win-or-it’s-worthless” mentality has Cowboys Nation buzzing: Is Flournoy putting too much pressure on himself as a rookie? Or is this exactly the fire Dallas desperately needs in a season derailed by injuries? One thing is crystal clear: Ryan Flournoy doesn’t care about your fantasy points or highlight reels. He only cares about one thing, VICTORY. Next week, all eyes will be on “Flo” again. Can he finally turn that bitterness into something sweet? Drop your thoughts below: Is Flournoy’s mindset genius… or dangerous?
