Richard Sherman Praises Seahawks After Impressive Three Game Stretch

Four weeks into the 2025 NFL season, and if there’s one word that sums up Mike Macdonald’s Seahawks, it’s resilient. After a gut-punch loss in Week 1, Seattle has rallied for three straight wins - each one telling a different story, but all three reinforcing a clear message: this is a team learning how to finish.
It started with a near-upset of San Francisco in the opener. Down by four with the game on the line late in the fourth, Seattle’s offense had a shot to stun the defending NFC champions.
Sam Darnold dropped back, hunting for a game-winning play. Instead, disaster struck - the ball deflected off right tackle Abraham Lucas and landed in the lap of a 49ers defender.
Game over. Painful?
Absolutely. But it served as an early gut check - one they clearly took to heart.
Fast forward to Week 2 in Pittsburgh. Things didn’t start much better.
Darnold got the Seahawks on the board early but also tossed two picks in the first half, and Seattle went into the locker room trailing. That could’ve been the beginning of an ugly road trip.
Instead, Seattle came out swinging. The defense tightened up, the special teams showed out, and Darnold responded with the kind of second-half performance this team badly needed.
Final score: 31-17 Seahawks - a comeback that injected some swagger and belief.
By Week 3, they weren’t just surviving - they were cruising. Hosting the Saints, Seattle posted a commanding 44-13 win and showed off a rising star in the process.
Rookie wideout Tory Horton not only grabbed his second touchdown of the season but also electrified the crowd with a 95-yard punt return touchdown. That kind of explosiveness is exactly what Macdonald’s team needs as they look to build a new identity in year one.
And then came Arizona - a short-week divisional test with all the makings of a trap game. Seattle led 20-6 early in the fourth, only to watch that cushion evaporate.
But instead of crumbling, they regrouped. Darnold orchestrated one final drive to get them into position, and kicker Jason Myers drilled a 52-yard game-winner at the buzzer to lock in the 23-20 win - Seattle’s third straight.
The Seahawks head into Week 5 sitting at 3-1, and they’ve already proven they can pick themselves up off the mat. Whether it’s bouncing back from a heartbreaking home loss or finishing off tough road games, this group is showing the kind of mental toughness that travels.
