Nick Sirianni Concerned About Eagles Offense as A.J. Brown and Two Key Starters Ruled Out Ahead of Giants Clash

As the Philadelphia Eagles prepare for their Week 8 matchup against the New York Giants, both teams are facing mounting injury concerns that could heavily influence Sunday’s showdown at Lincoln Financial Field.

Giants Facing Key Defensive and Offensive Absences

The Giants will take the field short-handed on both sides of the ball. Cornerback Paulson Adebo (knee) and defensive end Chauncey Golston (neck) have both been ruled out, dealing a blow to New York’s defensive rotation. Star edge rusher Brian Burns (hip) and kicker Graham Gano (groin) remain questionable, while Jevon Holland (neck) is listed as doubtful.

Offensively, tight end Daniel Bellinger and wide receiver Darius Slayton were limited in practice but are expected to play. However, rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart (ankle) will be closely monitored after re-aggravating an injury in Thursday’s session. With several offensive linemen also battling minor issues, the Giants’ game plan may need quick adjustments to protect their young quarterback.

Eagles’ Offensive Depth Tested Without A.J. Brown

On the other side, the Eagles’ injury sheet raised eyebrows after A.J. Brown (hamstring) was ruled out, alongside tight end Dallas Goedert (calf) and center Cam Jurgens (knee). The absence of Brown—one of Jalen Hurts’ most trusted weapons—comes at a difficult time for an Eagles offense trying to regain rhythm after their Week 7 bye.

Rookie wide receiver Darius Cooper is questionable with a shoulder issue, while guard Landon Dickerson (ankle/back) and tackle Grant Calcaterra (oblique) are expected to be available. Defensive end Brandon Graham, who recently returned from retirement, will play despite veteran rest days earlier in the week.

Speaking after Friday’s walkthrough, Head Coach Nick Sirianni admitted the injuries have complicated the team’s preparation.

“You never want to see your top guys sidelined,” Sirianni said.
“But this is where our depth and discipline come in. We’ve built a roster that can handle adversity, and I trust every man in that locker room to step up.”

The Eagles’ offensive line remains largely intact, which could prove vital against a Giants defense missing several pass rushers. Still, with Brown and Goedert out, expect Jalen Hurts to rely more on quick passes and short-yardage schemes featuring DeVonta Smith and Kenneth Gainwell.

Both teams will enter Sunday’s divisional clash battered but determined, with health—and depth—set to play a decisive role in who walks away with a much-needed NFC East victory.

Josh Allen Named AFC Offensive Player of the Week After Insane Week 14 Comeback vs Bengals
For the THIRD time in 2025 and the 18th time in his legendary career, Josh Allen has been crowned AFC Offensive Player of the Week – putting him just behind Tom Brady for the most all-time. What he did to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday wasn’t football… it was a superhero movie. Stats that don’t even sound real: 22/28 (78.6%) – 251 passing yards – 3 passing TDs 9 carries – 78 rushing yards – 1 rushing TD (including a 40-yard sprint for the ages) → 4 total TDs, zero turnovers, and a perfect passer rating in the 4th quarter. The Moments That Broke the Internet Down 11 in the 2nd quarter, 4th-and-4 from the 11-yard line Josh Allen escapes pressure, rolls left, and throws an absolute DIME across his body to Khalil Shakir backing into the end zone. Then hits Dawson Knox for the 2-point conversion. Sean McDermott’s one-word reaction on Monday? “Audacity.” Bengals just took a two-possession lead in the 4th Allen needs only 1:11 to march 75 yards and scores himself on a 40-yard touchdown run – the longest rushing TD by a Bill in regular-season history. Game on the line, 3rd-and-15 with 1:54 left Instead of punting, Josh scrambles for the first down, takes a knee twice, and ends the game. Ballgame. History Made (Again) 11th career game with 3+ passing TDs + 1+ rushing TD → most in NFL history (only player with 10+) First player ever with 20+ pass TDs & 10+ rush TDs in three separate seasons First player ever with multiple games of 250+ pass yds, 75+ rush yds, 3+ pass TDs, 1+ rush TD 50th career game with at least 1 passing + 1 rushing TD → extends his own NFL record Josh Allen didn’t just beat the Bengals – he reminded the entire league why he’s the 2025 MVP front-runner. Bills Mafia, is this the best single-game performance of Josh’s career? Sound off in the comments!
