NFL Suspends Adrian Hill’s Entire Officiating Crew After Eagles Submit Evidence File to League
The NFL has officially handed down one of its harshest officiating punishments in recent memory, suspending referee Adrian Hill and his entire crew indefinitely following their controversial performance in the Eagles–Broncos matchup. The decision came just 48 hours after Philadelphia and Denver jointly submitted 10GB of evidence files to league officials, detailing more than 10 questionable or missed calls that may have influenced the outcome of the game.
According to reports, Hill’s crew—including Bryan Neale (umpire), Patrick Holt (down judge), Mark Steinkerchner (line judge), Brad Rogers (field judge), Eugene Hall (side judge), Greg Steed (back judge), and Dan South (replay official)—has been placed under full investigation by the NFL’s officiating department.
The league’s announcement followed widespread outrage over the chaotic finish in Sunday’s 21–17 Eagles loss to Denver, where several missed penalties, including a clear defensive hold on tight end Dallas Goedert, were never called. A controversial overturn of an intentional grounding flag against Jalen Hurts also fueled anger among players, fans, and analysts alike.
In a brief statement, NFL Senior VP of Officiating Walt Anderson said the league found “a series of critical officiating errors that failed to meet professional standards.” He confirmed that the suspension is immediate and indefinite, pending further review.

Social media erupted as “Eagles got robbed” trended nationwide, reaching over two million posts within a day. Former players and media voices, including Troy Aikman, demanded accountability and transparency from the league.
For Eagles fans, the suspension is a bittersweet result. While justice seems to have arrived, the damage from a potentially stolen win remains. The controversy has reignited questions about the league’s officiating integrity—something both teams hope the NFL will now take seriously.
