Michael Jordan Now Mentoring Jalen Hurts, Eagles Eye Back-to-Back Super Bowls

In an offseason filled with celebration and reflection, Jalen Hurts is making headlines for something few expected: he’s turning to Michael Jordan for guidance — and not just as a brand ambassador.

Fresh off his first Super Bowl title and MVP award, the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback isn’t easing up. Instead, he’s seeking wisdom from one of the greatest athletes of all time to refine his game and run it back in 2025.

“To have someone like MJ as a resource, as a mindset mentor — that’s priceless,” Hurts said during a recent press appearance.
“His competitiveness, his standard of excellence — I want that in everything I do.”

Hurts, who is signed to Jordan Brand, has developed a growing relationship with the six-time NBA champion. While the two haven’t met face-to-face often, sources say Jordan has been offering behind-the-scenes advice — focusing less on mechanics and more on mentality, preparation, and leadership.

Jordan, now worth an estimated $3.5 billion, knows a thing or two about sustained greatness under pressure. And that’s exactly what Hurts wants as he leads a loaded Eagles roster aiming to become the first repeat Super Bowl champions since the 2003–04 Patriots.

In 2024, Hurts posted 2,903 passing yards, 18 touchdowns through the air, and 14 on the ground — while anchoring one of the most balanced offenses in the NFL. But he’s not content.

“I’m constantly evolving,” Hurts added. “There’s always more to master, more to prove.”

Teammates say the influence is already visible. Wide receiver DeVonta Smith noted that Hurts has been “laser-focused and sharper than ever” during offseason workouts. Coaches praise his growing vocal leadership and demand for perfection — trademarks of Jordan’s own career.

If there’s a mental blueprint for dynasty-level success, Hurts is following it to the letter — with MJ in his corner.

“It’s about the edge,” Hurts said. “Jordan had it. I want to find my version of it.”

As training camp nears, one thing is clear: Jalen Hurts isn’t satisfied with being great. He wants to be legendary. And now, he’s learning from the very best.
