Josh Allen Shocks Fans By Revealing Who Is Most To Blame For The Bills Struggles – And No One Saw It Coming

Josh Allen Faces Responsibility After Dolphins Loss

Following the 30 13 defeat to the Miami Dolphins, the Buffalo Bills missed a key opportunity to keep pace with the New England Patriots in the AFC East. When meeting with reporters, Josh Allen did not avoid accountability. He embraced it.

The Bills committed three turnovers in the loss and eight turnovers across their three defeats this season. Each one came at critical moments with the Bills driving.

Allen admitted the issue clearly.
"In the losses this year, we have turned the ball over. And that points directly at me. If we take care of the football, we are a good football team."

Allen finished the game with an interception and a lost fumble as Buffalo dropped to 6 3, now trailing the Patriots who also hold the head to head advantage.

McDermott Points To Bigger Problems Than Turnovers

Head coach Sean McDermott stressed that turnovers were only part of the problem. According to team metrics, the Bills posted just a 29.2 percent success rate in the first half, their lowest since Allen’s rookie season in 2018.

McDermott said:
"Too many third down and longs. We became one dimensional in too many situations."

Allen agreed the offense created problems for itself early in the game.
"I felt like early on, we were kind of beating ourselves."

Buffalo’s receivers also struggled to gain separation, an issue that had contributed to earlier losses as well. McDermott acknowledged:
"There were times we were not open. But it is never just one thing."

Bills Look To Reinforce The Offense

Buffalo signed former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman this week, hoping to add more explosiveness and separation ability. Veteran Gabe Davis is also nearing a return to the lineup after last year’s ankle injury.

With new weapons, the Bills aim to help Allen regain rhythm and reduce high cost turnovers.

A Turning Point For Buffalo

Turnovers, failed early down execution and separation issues have put pressure on Buffalo’s season. But through Allen’s accountability and McDermott’s honesty, the team still believes it can reclaim momentum.

Allen has owned the problem.
McDermott has diagnosed the cause.
Now Buffalo must write the response.
