Jalen Hurts Meets and Surprises Philadelphia Youth Football Team With Special Gifts
The Philadelphia Eagles didn’t just celebrate their season-opening win on Thursday night—they also created lifelong memories for the South Philly Sharks, a local youth football team.
The Sharks were invited to Lincoln Financial Field, where they not only witnessed the Super Bowl banner unveiling but also received a surprise gift from the Eagles and quarterback Jalen Hurts: brand-new Jordan cleats and gift bags filled with Eagles swag.

Rashon Goodin Sr., the program’s athletic director, expressed how much the moment meant to his players:
"They just loved it. It was really special for me and my program, especially the kids," Goodin said.
For many of the Sharks players, meeting Hurts was surreal. Nasir Harper, one of the young athletes, admitted he could hardly believe it:
"I was feeling so happy that Jalen Hurts gave us some cleats," Harper shared. "We all were taking pictures with them and stuff. We all are feeling happy."

The team is expected to wear the cleats as soon as their next game, turning the experience into both motivation and a symbol of inspiration.
Hurts himself explained why he wanted to give back:
"When I see these kids, I see the future of Philadelphia football. If a pair of cleats or a small gift can make them feel seen and motivated, then it’s worth everything. They deserve to know this city and this team believe in them."
Goodin summed it up perfectly, noting that the Sharks will never forget this incredible night: “The entire experience is something they will carry with them forever.”
