[VIDEO] Bills' Star Receiver Dalton Kincaid Dealing With Oblique Injury, Status Uncertain for Falcons Matchup “We’ll get a look at him before making a determination.”
Bills' Leading Receiver Dealing With Oblique Injury The Buffalo Bills may be without one of their top offensive players for Monday night’s Week 6 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. Tight end Dalton Kincaid and wide receiver Curtis Samuel are both listed as questionable for Buffalo’s “Monday Night Football” matchup, and while Samuel’s potential absence isn’t quite concerning, Kincaid’s inclusion on the injury report is. Through the first five games, Kincaid is Buffalo’s leading receiver. He’s been quarterback Josh Allen’s favorite target and go-to option in the red zone, which made Saturday’s injury update an unfortunate one. After practicing for the last two days in a red non-contact jersey, Kincaid’s status is still uncertain for the Falcons game. “Dalton Kincaid (oblique) still in a red non-contact jersey,” WGR 550's Sal Capaccio reported on Saturday. “Sean McDermott said they’ll get a look at him (and Curtis Samuel) at practice today before making a determination on their game status for Monday night.”   Kincaid is in the midst of a breakout season. He’s logged 20 catches on 24 targets for 287 yards and three touchdowns — both team highs. Among all tight ends with 10 or more receptions, Kincaid ranks second in receiving yards, third in touchdowns, third in yards per reception (14.4), 10th in receptions, and 16th in targets. Kincaid is just 24 catches and 161 yards from matching his season totals last season through eight fewer games. He’s already surpassed the two touchdowns he had in 2024. If Kincaid does, indeed, miss Week 6, the Bills will likely rely on receivers Khalil Shakir and Keon Coleman to shoulder the load in the passing game. Shakir and Coleman are tied for the most targets on the team (29), and they’re separated by just nine receiving yards—Shakir 235, Coleman 226—and both have two touchdowns. Dawson Knox and Jackson Hawes will likely take turns filling the tight end spot. Knox has ix catches on 10 targets for 54 yards, while Hawes has our catches on four targets for 54 yards and a touchdown. Bills Mafia, what do you think — should Kincaid rest to recover fully, or suit up to help the team secure another win?
