Eagles Rumored to Offer Massive Trade for Myles Garrett

According to ESPN analyst Aaron Goldhammer, the Philadelphia Eagles may be eyeing a blockbuster trade — three first-round picks for Myles Garrett, who reportedly expressed frustration with the Browns’ direction earlier this year.

Garrett signed a massive contract extension to stay in Cleveland, but after an emotional outburst in the Week 8 loss to the Patriots, trade speculation reignited.

Goldhammer’s words were blunt:

“Even three late first-rounders — I’d have to consider that.”

While the deal sounds far-fetched, it’s not impossible. Garrett is arguably the best defensive player in football, perhaps even the best overall. Yet if there’s any GM bold enough to pull off such a move, it’s Howie Roseman of the Eagles.

The challenge? Salary cap implications. Trading Garrett would force the Browns to absorb a massive dead cap hit. Still, with three first-rounders, they could jumpstart a roster rebuild and stock up on young, affordable talent — especially with the promising 2025 rookie class ahead.

Garrett may still be the cornerstone of Cleveland’s defense, but in today’s NFL, sometimes three first-round picks can buy you a brighter tomorrow. And for the Eagles, this kind of gamble could turn boldness into legacy.
