It didn’t take long. Just one practice into Cowboys Training Camp, and quarterback Dak Prescott is already giving Eagles fans something to smile about. (Video Below)
During the first day of camp, Prescott threw a wobbly interception in 11-on-11 drills—a moment that was quickly clipped, reposted, and roasted across NFL Twitter. And nobody enjoyed it more than the Philly faithful.
“Mid-season form already,” one Eagles fan posted, followed by laughing emojis and a highlight reel of Dak’s previous picks. Another wrote, “Can’t wait to see this version twice a year,” tagging Darius Slay and Jalen Carter in the post. The reaction was immediate, relentless, and... kind of perfect for late July football banter.
While it’s only training camp, and Prescott has plenty of time to tune up before the season begins, the optics were rough. In a year where pressure is mounting and expectations are sky-high in Dallas, every mistake—especially those caught on camera—becomes content.
Eagles fans, of course, didn’t miss a beat.
For a fanbase that’s still riding high after a Super Bowl title, seeing their biggest rival’s quarterback struggle out the gate is more than just entertaining—it’s fuel. It’s tradition. And in Philly, where football is personal and NFC East rivalries are religion, this kind of clip hits different.
Prescott may bounce back in practice tomorrow, but on this day, the only thing flying higher than Eagles pride... was that errant pass.
