Eagles Bolster Depth by Adding Two Promising Talents to the Team
The Philadelphia Eagles made key roster moves this week, filling two open spots on their practice squad by signing tight end Jaheim Bell and defensive end Titus Leo. The move comes as the team looks to strengthen depth and add fresh energy to the lineup amid ongoing injuries and recent struggles.
Bell, a seventh-round pick by the Patriots in 2024, spent three years at South Carolina before transferring to Florida State. Standing at 6-foot-2, Bell appeared in 15 games last season for New England, catching two passes for 20 yards before being released in August.

Titus Leo, meanwhile, brings defensive versatility and proven college success. A standout at Wagner, he earned two Conference Defensive Player of the Year awards and was named an FCS First-Team All-American in 2021. Drafted in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft by the Colts, Leo played four games last season for the Patriots, tallying four tackles, one for a loss, and a pass deflection.
Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni praised the additions, saying, “We’re always looking for players who bring hunger, toughness, and the will to grow within this team. They fit that mindset perfectly.”
Bell joins E.J. Jenkins as the second tight end on Philadelphia’s practice squad, while Leo provides depth on the defensive line following Za’Darius Smith’s retirement. With both players eager to prove themselves, the Eagles’ practice squad just got a significant boost in potential and competition.
