Dolphins Fan Arrested in Miami Gardens, Florida After Armed Threat Against Eagles Fans Before Kickoff
Miami Gardens, FL – November 9, 2025 — Authorities in Miami Gardens arrested a Miami Dolphins fan at noon on Sunday after he allegedly made armed threats toward Philadelphia Eagles fans outside Hard Rock Stadium, just moments before kickoff of the highly anticipated Week 10 matchup between the two teams.
The suspect, identified as Christopher Allen Brooks, 34, of Orlando, Florida, has been charged with aggravated assault, making criminal threats, carrying a firearm without a license, and disorderly conduct, officials confirmed.
According to police reports, the confrontation occurred around 10:15 a.m. in Lot C, where hundreds of fans had gathered for pregame tailgating. Witnesses stated that the man, wearing Dolphins gear, became aggressive during a heated verbal exchange with nearby Eagles supporters and brandished a handgun while shouting threats.
Security personnel quickly intervened, detaining the suspect before Miami Gardens police arrived on the scene. Officers recovered a loaded 9mm handgun along with two additional magazines from the suspect’s vehicle. No shots were fired, and no injuries were reported.
Police temporarily locked down the parking area while reviewing surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses. Within 25 minutes, authorities declared the situation under control, and fans were allowed to return to their pregame festivities before kickoff.
A spokesperson for the Miami Gardens Police Department praised the swift response from stadium security, saying: “This could have turned dangerous very quickly. Thanks to fast and coordinated action, our team prevented any escalation and ensured the safety of all fans attending tonight’s game.”
Following the incident, security screenings at Hard Rock Stadium were immediately tightened, with fans subjected to enhanced bag checks and metal detector scans before entry. Despite the brief scare, the Eagles vs. Dolphins game proceeded on schedule without delay.
The incident served as a sobering reminder of the growing intensity surrounding NFL rivalries and the importance of maintaining strong security protocols on game days — especially when two passionate fanbases collide under the primetime lights.
