Palmer, who was signed this offseason as the team's No. 1 free-agent offensive addition, has been an utter disappointment, leaving Bills fans scratching their heads. With a hefty three-year contract, expectations were sky-high for Palmer to help elevate the Bills’ already potent offense, especially with MVP-caliber QB Josh Allen leading the way. But what’s unfolded has been nothing short of underwhelming.
Through five games, Palmer’s numbers are staggering in the worst way. He has only 12 receptions, 174 yards, and—perhaps most shockingly—ZERO touchdowns. His involvement in the offense has been limited, with Palmer failing to play even half of the offensive snaps in recent weeks. Meanwhile, backup receivers like Khalil Shakir and rookie Keon Coleman have been seeing more time on the field, further cementing Palmer’s disappointing start.
Despite showing flashes of his potential with some impressive catches, Palmer hasn't come close to living up to the billing as a reliable WR2—or even WR3.
