Dan Orlovsky Calls Out Eagles’ Offense: Painful — But Maybe Necessary

Former NFL quarterback and current analyst Dan Orlovsky didn’t hold back when addressing the Philadelphia Eagles’ offensive struggles during ESPN’s Get Up.
“We’re a third through the season,” Orlovsky said. “This offense stinks right now. It doesn’t do anything well.”
He criticized the Eagles for relying too heavily on the shotgun formation. “They’re in the shotgun way too much,” he added. “You’d better get out of it because it’s killing your offense.”
Orlovsky also referenced a key interception as proof of the team’s predictability. “Jalen Hurts ran the same concept four times in the game. When you constantly show defenders the same thing, they figure it out. Right now, this offense is bad.”
Head coach Nick Sirianni acknowledged the criticism but stayed positive. “I love that we’re all looking for solutions to get better,” Sirianni said. “That’s not just coaches — that’s everyone on the team. The mindset here is to keep improving and play our best football by season’s end.”
He ended with a determined tone: “We’re going to take some time off and get back to fighting. This is life in the NFL — ups and downs happen. But with the people we have in this room, there’s no panic. Just get up, go back to work, and get better.”
