Dallas, Texas – November 8, 2025
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott delivered a deeply emotional talk to local high school students in Texas last year as part of a suicide prevention and mental health awareness program. His speech not only moved the entire audience but also spread a powerful message about self-worth, compassion, and the value of life.
“Everyone is special. Your life is special”
Speaking softly and with emotion, Dak Prescott told the students:
“Everyone is special. Your life is special. Even if you don't think it's special to you, it's special to people.”
“You're not alone. I promise you.”

Those words brought the room to silence. Dak, who lost his brother to suicide in 2020, deeply understands the pain and emotional struggles that many young people face. He urged the students to open up, seek help, and believe that there are always people who care about them.
A message that came straight from the heart
Prescott’s efforts went beyond words. He has funded mental health education programs across Texas, helping schools organize workshops that teach students how to recognize and respond to signs of depression and emotional distress.

Cowboys fans quickly shared clips of his heartfelt speech across social media, with comments such as:
“Dak spoke like a big brother to all of us.”
“He’s not just an athlete — he’s someone who truly understands pain.”
When football becomes a bridge of compassion
Dak Prescott has long been admired not only for his leadership on the field but also for his kindness off it. He founded The Faith Fight Finish Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports those struggling with mental health challenges and families affected by suicide. His talk last year was yet another example of how Dak continues to transform personal pain into purpose, turning tragedy into hope for others.
