With a commanding win over Miami, the Bills are quietly building a dominance at home not seen since the height of the Brady-era Patriots.

The Buffalo Bills continue to flex their muscle in the AFC East, notching a statement 31-21 win over the Miami Dolphins on Thursday Night Football. With the victory, Buffalo improves to 3-0 for the second straight season and extends a handful of impressive streaks—most notably, their 13th consecutive regular-season home win and 11th straight home win against a division opponent.

That last one? It's the longest such streak since the Tom Brady-era Patriots ripped off 17 from 2009 to 2014.

Sean McDermott’s group knows how to protect their turf, and Thursday night was no exception.

Josh Allen was once again the engine that drove the Bills' offense. Efficient and composed, he completed 22 of 28 passes for 213 yards and three touchdowns.

He also chipped in 25 yards on the ground across four carries. But the milestone moment came in the fourth quarter, when Allen hit Khalil Shakir for a 15-yard strike—his 200th career touchdown pass.

That score gave Buffalo a 28-21 lead and added another layer to Allen’s growing legacy. With that toss, Allen also became the fastest player in NFL history to reach 300 career offensive touchdowns, including playoffs, edging out Patrick Mahomes.

Allen’s connection with the Dolphins at home has been particularly potent. He’s now thrown multiple touchdowns in eight straight home games against Miami—a streak that speaks volumes about his command in divisional matchups.

But this wasn’t a one-man show. James Cook anchored a balanced ground game, racking up 108 yards on 19 carries and punching in a two-yard score.

That touchdown marked his seventh straight game with a rushing TD, matching a franchise record. He also added three catches for 10 yards, showing off his versatility in Buffalo’s attack.

The tight ends got in on the action, too. Dalton Kincaid snagged his second touchdown of the season and continues to be a reliable target underneath.

He became the first Bills tight end to record four or more receptions in each of the first three games of a season. Jackson Hawes also contributed in key moments, helping Buffalo keep drives alive.

When it mattered most, the defense stepped up. With the game tied 21-21 and the clock winding down, linebacker Terrel Bernard made the play of the night.

He picked off Tua Tagovailoa and returned it 24 yards to set up the go-ahead score. The pressure on that play came courtesy of rookie defensive tackle Deone Walker, whose push up the middle forced Tagovailoa into a rushed throw.

Bernard had been active all night, including a touchdown-saving tackle on Dolphins rookie Ollie Gordon II earlier in the game.

That interception also helped the Bills extend an NFL-record streak to 25 straight games without losing the turnover battle. It’s a stat that doesn’t always grab headlines, but it’s one that reflects the disciplined, opportunistic style that’s become a hallmark of McDermott’s defense.

Special teams had their moment, too. A roughing the kicker penalty on Dolphins defensive tackle Zach Sieler with just over 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter extended a critical Buffalo drive.

The Bills capitalized, finishing that possession with Shakir’s touchdown. Matt Prater later iced it with a 48-yard field goal, stretching the lead to 10 with just 22 seconds left.

Miami didn’t go down quietly. Tua Tagovailoa completed 22 of 34 passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns.

Tyreek Hill found the end zone and finished with 49 yards on five catches, while Jaylen Waddle added five receptions for 39 yards and a score of his own. The Dolphins’ ground game showed flashes, with Ollie Gordon II and De’Von Achane combining for 116 rushing yards.

But penalties and turnovers proved too costly in a game where the margin for error was razor-thin.
