All-Pro LB and Face of Cowboys’ Defense Blasts Eagles "They're Nothing Without the Tush Push"

Micah Parsons has never been one to bite his tongue—and he didn’t hold back when asked about the Eagles during a recent post-practice media appearance.
“Philly talks a lot for a team that needed a brotherly shove to stay relevant,” Parsons said, taking a direct shot at the Eagles and their now-famous (or infamous) “tush push” play.
The jab immediately sparked a firestorm across social media and reignited one of the NFL’s most intense rivalries. For Eagles fans, it was seen as blatant disrespect. But for Cowboys fans? It was nothing short of gospel.
Parsons, a two-time All-Pro and widely seen as the face of Dallas’ defense, didn’t stop there. He doubled down on his criticism, implying that without the “tush push” formation—a quarterback sneak play that’s become synonymous with Jalen Hurts and Philly’s short-yardage success—the Eagles wouldn’t have the same status.
“Do they even score on third and short without it?” a Cowboys insider close to Parsons reportedly added, intensifying the back-and-forth.
The comment cuts deep, especially considering how central the “tush push” was to Philly’s offensive identity in recent seasons. The play helped sustain drives, flip field position, and swing momentum in key games—including against Dallas.
While the Eagles and their fans may call it jealousy or mind games, Parsons’ comments signal something bigger: Dallas isn’t backing down in 2025. After a frustrating 2024 season and questions surrounding the team’s playoff ceiling, Parsons is clearly taking it personal.
As Week 9’s Cowboys-Eagles showdown looms on the schedule, one thing is clear—this rivalry isn’t cooling down anytime soon. In fact, it might just be getting started.
