A.J. Brown Leaving the Eagles – Could It Really Be True?

Rumors are swirling once again around Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown — and this time, they’re carrying more weight than usual.

According to NFL insider Dianna Russini, league sources believe the Eagles could entertain trade offers for Brown if the right opportunity comes along.

One AFC general manager didn’t mince words:

“Brown doesn’t look frustrated or mad — he looks indifferent. And that’s not a good place to be. I think Howie (Roseman) moves him. It would have to be for the right player or pick, but it wouldn’t surprise me. Howie likes deals, especially if a player’s value exceeds how he’s being used.”

Still, such a move seems highly unlikely this season. Trading Brown would result in a massive dead cap hit, a financial burden that even the most aggressive GMs would hesitate to absorb.

Yet something feels off. Brown — usually one of the most fiery and competitive players in the league — hasn’t looked fully engaged lately. His continued clashes with fans and reporters on social media platform X have only fueled speculation that he’s unhappy in Philadelphia.

Whether it’s frustration over his role, locker room tension, or simply the drag of a sluggish offensive start, Brown’s energy feels different. And in a passionate football city like Philly, small cracks can quickly turn into breaking points.

Even so, a trade would still shock the league. Brown is under contract through 2029, following a blockbuster extension after his 2022 trade from Tennessee. But with Howie Roseman at the helm — a GM known for bold, unexpected moves — nothing is truly off the table.

If Brown genuinely wants out, it might not happen immediately. But with pressure mounting in Philadelphia, it feels like something is building beneath the surface — and soon, it may boil over.

But GM Brandon Beane just pulled off a sneaky-smart move that flew completely under the radar… Late Tuesday afternoon, the Bills quietly signed one of the highest-rated cornerbacks still left on the open market to the practice squad — a 25-year-old former seventh-round pick with elite 4.45 speed and perfect slot-corner size (5’11”, 190 lbs). So… who is this mystery reinforcement? (Keep scrolling, we’ll reveal the name in a second) His 2025 journey has been a wild rollercoaster: Cut for good by the Las Vegas Raiders in April after bouncing on/off their practice squad all of 2024 Signed by Carolina in the summer → waived/injured → landed on IR Joined Baltimore in early August → survived most of camp but got released on final cutdown day (Aug 26) And now he’s officially belongs to the Buffalo Bills. Drumroll… the newest member of Bills Mafia is M.J. Devonshire — a name that, believe it or not, was still ranked inside the Top 30 available cornerback free agents this fall according to PFF, Bleacher Report, and multiple NFL insiders. Right now Buffalo’s active 53-man roster only has THREE true outside cornerbacks: Christian Benford Tre’Davious White Rookie Maxwell Hairston With a brutal late-season schedule and injuries always one snap away, bringing in a young, fast, draft-pedigree CB who can play both outside and in the slot is a no-brainer depth move. Is M.J. Devonshire the hidden gem who finally stabilizes the Bills’ secondary… or just another practice-squad body? One thing’s for sure: Bills Mafia just got a little faster.
