Head coach Kyle Shanahan of the San Francisco 49ers has officially confirmed that wide receiver Jauan Jennings is facing a potential risk of infertility following a groin punch by Panthers safety Trevon Moehrig.

The incident occurred late in the game, just moments after Jennings hauled in a touchdown. In the post-play chaos, Moehrig struck Jennings directly in the groin, sending the 49ers receiver to the turf in visible pain. Jennings was escorted to the medical tent and later underwent further evaluation. Moehrig later claimed that Jennings "was doing some extra stuff after the play" but many analysts and fans have condemned the hit as dirty and uncalled for.
Speaking at Wednesday’s press conference, Coach Shanahan delivered the shocking update: Jennings was sent for specialized testing at Stanford Medical Center, where doctors assessed the extent of his injury.
